Windows without Media Player in Europe
The European Court has led the "empress" company operating systems on this drive demanding immediate implementation of an earlier court decision.
So by January 2005 all new copies of Windows will be available in Europe in both OEM (preinstalled) and a retail version will include the extremely popular application Windows Media Player. Microsoft intends to resist the advice of the Commission and not to let "anyone" to restrict what can be incorporated in the operating system and what is not.
