Google decided to try this time a new service on the part of telecommunications. According to information, the company develops software that is integrated into Gmail, and allows the user to make phone calls through an interface that is quite similar to the Google Voice. In other words, Google is preparing to move to the area of VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol).
Currently it is not clear whether the new service is built upon the Google Voice or if they are distinct products. The calls are free for U.S. and Canada, while calls outside costs are extremely low. As one easily realizes, the new service will duel with Skype.
Asked about the issue, a spokesman for Google declined to answer. "Google is constantly testing new features and products, but we do not have anything to announce at this time," said an official of the company.
